China Mobile Starts Constructing Mobile WiMAX Network in Qingdao

According to a China Business News report, China Mobile is constructing a small-scale mobile WiMAX network in Qingdao of Shandong Province, one of the co-host cities of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. China Mobile's WiMAX 802.16e network will provide services using the 2.5GHz frequency band, available only during the Olympic Games. The current suppliers of related equipment include Samsung and Huawei.
